David Klauer

Estimator

I am a 1988 graduate of Alleman Catholic High School. I have 27 years of experience as a cement finisher. I have been with Goetz Concrete on/off for 20 years. I started working at Goetz Concrete in 1997 as the finisher on the foundation crew. While working at Goetz, I have done the finishing on the foundation and flatwork crews and have been a crew foreman. I have spent the last 5 years as an Estimator/Project Manager. I am a Trustee on the Local #18 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and the Local #18 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Fund.

I am the proud father of 4 beautiful daughters. Alyssa, Madilynn, Isabelle, and Olivia.

I had 2 uncles that were cement finishers and some of the first employees of Goetz Concrete. Clair Watkins was a foreman in the early years and employed here on/off into the early 2000s. Wayne Watkins was here in the early years, until 1970ish when he was fired by his brother Clair. And……. That’s when their 40-year feud started!

I enjoy watching my daughters perform in athletics and other activities, DIY projects, watching flat track motorcycle racing, riding Harley, kayaking, sitting by a fire drinking a beer, late-night snuggles, and moonlight strolls holding the hand of a beautiful woman. I attend St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
